Harvey Allen, Managing Director – Allen Business Consultancy
Harvey heads the ABC team and has over 20 years People Management
experience gained in positions held in both Ireland and the UK.
He
holds a 1st Class Business Honours Degree, a Diploma in Personnel
Management and is a Chartered Member of CIPD*, a network of over 135,000
HR Professionals in Ireland and the UK.
He worked in Senior Management positions with
the London Borough of Richmond (LBR), leading divisions, and projects
in areas of Financial Management, HR Management, Customer Care and
Change Management. His major success included the successful implementation
of 2 Local Government Finance Acts, bringing improvements in technology,
administration and customer service. He partnered with London Borough
of Hounslow and technologies giant Ericsson to establish the first
customer “contact centre” in UK Local Government. During his time
with (LBR), he was successful in attaining the “Crystal Mark for Quality
and Plain English” awarded by the Plain English Society.
Since moving back to Ireland, Harvey has developed
a ”Risk Management Framework” for an Intellectual Disability Organisation,
and partnered the HSE and the HSA in piloting a “Safety Management
System” for an International Physical Disability Foundation. He was
a leader in the attainment, and implementation of the “Personal Outcome
Measures (POMS)” and “Basic Assurances” Quality Standards with both
organisations.
Throughout his career, Harvey has cemented a
reputation as a leader of people and change, attaining many accolades
for excellence along the way. With this experience he established
Allen Business Consultancy, and is passionate about sharing his knowledge,
and that of the ABC team with potential learners and SME’s throughout Ireland.
